ITI Danube Delta

ITI Danube Delta is the only Integrated Territorial Investment to be implemented in Romania in the 2014-2020 programming period. With an overall budget of 1.114 billion euros, ITI Danube Delta is currently the largest investment project in Romania.

The project has contracted 1038 projects so far (April 2020). One of the most significant one is the Suspension Bridge over the Danube between Brăila and Tulcea Counties, which started on March 2019. The bridge will have a length of 1,974.30 meters and -once completed- it will be among the top 5 in Europe in terms of central opening length. It will also create conditions for sustainable economic growth and improve Romania’s economic competitiveness due to better transport links and interregional mobility.

Geographical coverage: Braila and Tulcea counties in southern Romania
