HAPPY BIKE is a European Union project approved for funding under the Hungary-Croatia Interreg cross-border cooperation program. The intensity of public support is 85% of total eligible costs, and the estimated duration is 20 months. The project partners are the Town Letenye, Town Prelog, Town Ludbreg and the County Road Administration of Varaždin County.
It was a project that included the construction of a bicycle path that will connect partner settlements, passing through nature along the rivers Mura and Drava. Partners build bicycle paths, rest areas and info points where tourists will be able to get the necessary information and services.
Project activities have improved the tourist offer intended primarily for cyclists and recreationists on the arranged and marked circular route Happy bike.
The main aim of the project was to define local routes, connect them with the county and national routes, integrate them into the European network of cycling routes and continuously work on their improvement.
The total project value is 263.657,80 € and it was financed from Hungary-Croatia Interreg cross-border cooperation program.
