A webinar on how to communicate about cohesion policy

On April 28th, an online workshop on communication and branding was organised for stakeholders of EU cohesion policy – either beneficiaries of EU funding or companies interested in receiving EU funding -, who are based in Csongrad County, Hungary. The theme of the workshop was how the participants can communicate about the benefits of Cohesion Policy and how they can improve their branding and social media communication in general.

The workshop was organised on Zoom as part of the Together for Cohesion: let’s rEUnite! campaign and had 18 stakeholders participating. The online format of the workshop was chosen by the partners of Together for Cohesion and the Csongrad County representatives due to the current epidemiological situation. In that way, the organisers provided an opportunity for stakeholders to gain relevant knowledge and to immediate utilize what they have learned in the digital space.

The topics covered by the workshop were the following: brief introduction on the EU Cohesion funding opportunities, online marketing techniques and channels, e-commerce practices, targeting the right groups and some useful tips for marketing and crisis management amidst the outbreak of Covid-19. All the participants had the chance to interact with the tutor and ask relevant questions.

All in all, the realisation of the online workshop was a positive example of how we can connect with each other in times of social distancing and use technology to promote economic regional development.
